Help me!

We have a very common welsh surname that isn't Davis or Kelly.

Husband is Welsh. I am not. We live in the north.

We like traditional names. I'm a teacher so it's making this very hard. We have an Alexander (Alex) I like names that can be shortened. Second boy due very very soon

So far:
Sam
Max
Ollie

But haven't settled on anything.

Help!! Open to suggestions

Did you want to avoid J names because of your surname OP? Do you want a Welsh name or something more traditionally English?

I have an Alexander,

I also like, Joseph, Finley, Henry, Nathan, Daniel, and Samuel (Sam).

I also like Freddie and Leo but don’t like the longer names they can be shortened from as much.

All classic and very underused/due a comeback.

That's a great list and you're right about them being underused.
For gawd's sake not Archie or Alfie!
