It is very cool and strong. If that is the vibe you are going for you have nailed it. Good job!
Also Harriet and Ruth, by the way.

Yes this- every word! We have really similar taste.

Amdone123 · 30/07/2022 20:26

I love it.

Moonshine5 · 30/07/2022 20:25

Cool

HarrietSchulenberg · 30/07/2022 20:24

Whilst it's a lovely name, it holds connotations of Esther Rantzen for me.

AppleBottomRats · 30/07/2022 20:24

It’s not awful but I definitely wouldn’t describe it as cool.

ohfook · 30/07/2022 20:22

Yes! I love that name and also know a very cool Esther.

TheFormidableMrsC · 30/07/2022 20:21

I always thought it was a lovely name and then DS had a classmate with that name and she was an absolute cow. Think Verucca Salt. Put me right off.

YukoandHiro · 30/07/2022 20:21

Those saying downtrodden is so surprising to me - but I think I was inspired by knowing an adult Esther who is fierce and burns bright. I associate it with her qualities of strength and self possession

badg3r · 30/07/2022 20:21

I like it. It is popular in Scandinavia just now.

SalviaOfficinalis · 30/07/2022 20:20

I really like it. Definitely due a revival.

YukoandHiro · 30/07/2022 20:20

I have an Esther. We love everything about it. The star meaning. The Queen Esther association (strong woman). "Esther the pester" 🤣
Older daughter nicknames her Estie which is sweet.
Love it.

DoNutSweatTheSmallStuff · 30/07/2022 20:20

I like it :)

CJones11 · 30/07/2022 20:19

I teach in a girls school and only came across one Esther which is a bonus in my opinion. Love the same!

Sandysandwich · 30/07/2022 20:18

Polyester
It sounds a bit lispy and prissy to me

Mol1628 · 30/07/2022 20:14

Great name

Quornflakegirl · 30/07/2022 20:14

I like it!

blebbleb · 30/07/2022 20:13

I love it!

MacKenzieMcHale · 30/07/2022 20:13

I love it. It's unusual but not weird, strong but elegant. Works well for a kid or an adult.

KylieCharlene · 30/07/2022 20:13

I really like it and think it's a strong, cool and elegant name.
I'd like to be an Esther and would consider it for a daughter.

noradelphine · 30/07/2022 20:13

Love it

LunaLemon · 30/07/2022 20:11

It’s dowdy and boring, sorry.

How about Erica instead?

SkirridHill · 30/07/2022 20:11

I like the name. It's got a lot of strong woman history behind it, too.

hearmywomanlyroar · 30/07/2022 20:11

Love it

ColmanFlamingo · 30/07/2022 20:10

I mean it's nice, but it makes me think of a Sunday school teacher or similar. I don't think of it as cool.

ofwarren · 30/07/2022 20:05

Lovely name
