Middle name for Melody

I’m expecting a girl in December and we’re fairly confident on the name Melody. DH loves it, I’m not 100% yet but we’re using it all the time to refer to baby so it feels more like her name every day. He’s French, I’m English and we currently live in Spain so the name needs to be suitable for all three languages. She will have both our surnames (2-syllab 3-syllab) with no hyphen.

So questions for you:

  1. Do you prefer the spelling Melody or Mélodie? I don’t mind either but wondering if the accent on the é will be a big hassle in the UK.
  2. We haven’t got a middle name yet. I’d like it to begin with a “C” as a connection to my parents and sisters’ names but not essential.
To give an idea of style, some other names I like are: Celeste, Cassandra, Josephine, Angelica. DH likes Serena, Cleopatra. My parents are big on Cora.
OP posts:

I would choose the spelling appropriate for the country she will be going to school in.

Personally I think Melody/Mélodie are both lovely enough that a plainer middle name might suit. Anne, Clare, Jane, Ruth, Faye, etc., especially with 5 syllables of surname.

I prefer the Melody spelling, and I think Celeste is lovely. Cora is a bit harsh IMO.

Beautiful name with either spelling. Cora or Celeste are my favourite of the middle names you listed. The others feel too long to me.
