Forget what the statistics tell you, what are the most popular names your know personally.

For me all baby and preschooler boys I know seem to be Harry, Freddie or Leo. There are also a few Henry’s.

Girls I’m surprise I still know a few Isabelle/Izzy’s also surprisingly a couple of Margots! And loads of Ellie’s but all short for different things. Apart from that the girls are more mixed though.

Ava, Mia, Evie

Ava is the name that many parents thought was unique when they chose it. No one of my age group has this name but the last five years are so it’s extremely popular and there are lots of them in infant and junior schools!

Oh I forgot to include our street because they don't all go to the same schools, the names above are from dc school.

Teddy, Danny-Ray, Sammy-Ray (siblings), Lexi, Mia, Yasmin, Olivia, Lily, Maya, Savanna, Havana (siblings)

As you can see they're very different to the names from my dc school list.

Danny-Ray and Sammy-Ray? Savanna and Havana?
What are the odds 2 families on the 1 street like cringey matchy-matchy names?

soggydigestives · 27/07/2022 17:33

Evie/Eva- Grace, Amelia, Lilly, Isobel

George, Teddy, Oliver, Jack

RedWingBoots · 27/07/2022 17:19

My 3 year old DD has to give them prefixes or suffixes to distinguish them.

Mine are teenagers now but the most popular names across the two age groups seem to be Izzy, Beatrice, Olivia, Ebony, Maya, Phoebe, Lyra, Klara and Amelia/Emilia.

Boys are Harry, Louis, Oscar, Felix, Henry, Jake, George... and lots of three letter names i.e. Sam, Tom, Dan, Joe etc.
