Hello there,

thanks what do you prefer out of:

Willow. (Too earthy?).
Skye. (Too many associations?)
Ava. (Too popular?)

I'm due soon, and love all of these names and some are more now than others and some have different perceptions but personally feel that for me and in my opinion they all could feasibly work.

id like to ask the lovely Mumsnetters as input is valuable!

my surname begins with a C and has two syllables.

Willow- I like it and had a cat with that name!

I think all the names you are suggested are lovely!

I really like Skye! It sound angelic and happy😊

Would you put either of the names together like, Skye-Ava or Willow-Skye?

You will know the perfect name when you see your baby girl!

Willow reminds me of that movie character.
Skye makes me think of a dog.
Ava is lovely (although I do slightly prefer Eva/Eve)

Ava is probably my favourite name but also most popular. I’d say ignore the popularity of names though and go for the one you won’t get sick of

I love Willow and Skye. Ava is fine but a bit bland.

I do worry about Willows who aren't willowy though - I imagine it would be hard to be a chubby 14 year old Willlow.

Willow, nice but lots of pets have this name.
Skye, here in Scotland there are lots.
Ava, beautiful name, also Ada is lovely.

I like Skye the best. Lovely associations with the island.

Willow is okay but might date badly as it's gone from being a bit offbeat to being completely mainstream in quite a short window of time.

Ava is also okay. I find it a bit blowsy though.

I like Willow, only I'd hate a nickname like Willy and kids can be mean.

While Ava is popular names are more diverse and so it's still possible to be the only Ava in her class.

Skye is nice but I just know a few dogs and so it has a pet name associated in my mind but it'd still work if that's what you like.

They are lovely names, willow is great and I like Skye unless you last name is Cable

They're all beautiful! I would potentially use any of those. Skye is my favourite. But I prefer Sky without the E. As in like the big blue thing, not the island. My only problems with Willow are a.) What if she is short and stumpy and very not willowy (this came up for me as I was considering for my baby and we're a short stumpy family - he's a boy so I never reached a conclusion!) and b.) Her initials will be WC like a toilet? Neither are exactly real problems though!

I love Ava. I've only met one so I don't see it as popular though I know it is in some areas.

All beautiful names op. Ava is veeeerrryyy popular though, so I’d go with Willow first choice, then Skye.

I like Willow the best. I do think names sound better/different in certain accents though so always consider my accent when thinking about names. Don't really like Ava at all.
