Spelling help

DH and I like Jadon for a boy and I like the idea of him having the original Hebrew/biblical spelling (DH heritage). I also like the Nn Jay, and he would probably be called this most of the time.

However I am worried about it causing issues for him. I dislike the Jayden spelling but know it’s the most well known, also considering ‘Jaden’ as a bit of a compromise.

so I would just appreciate any thoughts on the spelling options? Especially if you chose a name with many spellings, how did you pick one?

You could just call him Jay.

I'd go for Jacob too. Still reflects the heritage, you can use the same nickname, but the name itself is nicer.

Jadon but I'd pick a different name. Jayden was very popular about 12 years ago but has dropped in popularity quickly. The name (Jayden/Jaiden/Jaden) will seem dated. Jadon is ok but the association isn't good.

If you want the nn Jay there are better options like Jacob
