Timothy and Michael are terrible, my fave is Nathaniel, but Jasper is okay too!

SoupDragon · 19/07/2022 07:11

Nathaniel and Michael.

SpringIntoChaos · 19/07/2022 07:02

Timothy is just awful...really wet!

Jasper is a dog name.

Nathaniel...just not my taste but not too horrendous (bit long and will get Nat or Nate which are not great!)

Michael...ok, as long as you don't shorten to Mickey or Mick 😱) Again, not my taste but better than bloody awful Timothy!!

Penguinsaregreat · 19/07/2022 06:07

Michael and Nathaniel.

WinterMusings · 19/07/2022 06:07

Nathaniel - on BC, Nate day to day

Michael & Timothy with Mike/Tim

Jasper - not for me.

IggyAce · 19/07/2022 06:01

Nathaniel gets my vote, least favourite is Timothy as to me it makes me think weak & ill.

custardbear · 19/07/2022 05:48

marblemad · 19/07/2022 05:08

jasper- Love, quirky name with lots of potential 9/10
Michael - boring and snotty 1/10
Nathaniel - Due to personal reasons hate 3/10
Timothy - Like the NN but not the full 6.5/10

Dilemmaemmaaa · 18/07/2022 23:29

Jasper by a mile, the rest are all a bit nothingy.. love Jasper

DramaAlpaca · 18/07/2022 22:30

Michael and Nathaniel with the diminutive Nate are my favourites.

I don't mind Jasper but wouldn't use it myself.

I really don't like Timothy.

StopFeckingFaffing · 18/07/2022 22:26

Michael gets my vote. Good solid name and plenty of options to shorten it if you/he wants to.

I'm really not keen on Jasper (but I do like Casper/Kasper!)

Nathaniel is ok but a bit of mouthful so you would need to accept he would be called Nat or Nathan by most people

Timothy is ok on the basis that you use Tim 100% of the time!

Amdone123 · 18/07/2022 22:25

I love Michael.
We struggled to name our ds, over 30 years ago. It was only a few years later that my dh said his real dad was Nathaniel. Had I known, I'd have gone for it.
Jasper is ok
Don't like Timothy

Aria999 · 18/07/2022 22:22

I prefer Nathan to Nathaniel

Aria999 · 18/07/2022 22:21

I have always hated the name timothy

I actually quite like jasper but MIL's cat is called it

Michael is a bit 30 years ago

Nathanial is ok I guess

AmandaMirandaPanda · 18/07/2022 22:20

Nathaniel
Jasper
Timothy
Michael

They're all good. I really like Nathaniel and Jasper. I think I'm that age where once upon a time EVERYBODY was a Tim or a Mike (or a Rob or a Nick), so they still seem overused to me even though they're hardly used for babies.

Hellocatshome · 18/07/2022 22:15

Michael

Riverlee · 18/07/2022 22:13

Jasper - not my cup of tea

Timothy - like this, due acrevival

Michael - ok, due a revival

Nathaniel - my favourite from your list

Mumofgirls2017 · 18/07/2022 22:05

Jasper by 20000000 miles!

FlamingoDust · 18/07/2022 21:51

Jasper

KirstenBlest · 18/07/2022 09:05

Jasper - better for a dog, but ok
Timothy - classic
Michael - classic, my favourite of the 4
Nathaniel - too long, not keen on Nat/Nate

DangerouslyBored · 18/07/2022 08:29

Nathaniel. Love Nate.

The rest are way too boring / 70s. Apart from Jasper which I cannot associate with any particular era, it is just dreadful.

lot123 · 18/07/2022 08:20

Jasper. I don't like Nate and I can't get beyond Tim Tim Nice but Dim. I know it's infantile but it has forever tainted Tim for me.

Michael is alright but a bit old man-y for me.

user1492757084 · 18/07/2022 08:18

I love Tim - so Timothy is my favourite.
Michael is a timeless handsome choice as well.

3amAndImStillAwake · 18/07/2022 07:42

Not a big fan of Jasper or Nathaniel. I think Timothy is quite nice. Really like Michael, DD2 was born a few weeks ago and would have been Michael if she'd been a boy.

PortalooSunset · 18/07/2022 07:40

Michael or Nathaniel.
