Do you think Phoebe and Hermione 'go' as sisters if I couldn't choose and wanted to use the other name for a sibling? It's such a tough decision but knowing i could use the other name later would make it more bearable having to choose now 😂

Hermione gets shortened to Mina, Hem, Hum, Mimi, NeeNee and Herms. I have one and these are the various names she has been called!!!!

Also agree that Mimi would be a good nickname, if you did want to shorten it, though that tends to get taken out of your hands as soon as the dc are old enough to express an opinion!

Hermione, because it’s a cool name (I loved it even before HP), and the HP character is a strong female lead so no bad associations for me.

Phoebe I don’t like the sound of and it reminds me instantly of Friends in a negative way.

It's from the 'mi', I have seen Mimi suggested as a nickname for Hermione on several occasions.

I love Hermione. It's such a cool name, would be a shame to hand over all rights to it to HP!

Phoebe is nice too but I know too many for it to feel special to me.

I like both names but dislike the way Phoebe gets abbreviated to Pheebs. I don't know what Hermione gets abbreviated to but chances are that I wouldn't like it 😄

Middle name for either would be Joy as it's a family name.

I love both names but have concerns with both - Hermione too HP as a PP said, Phoebe too popular

I prefer Phoebe, just based on the sound. There's something about the "(h)erm", I think, that sounds harsh to me.
