I really like Maggie but don’t like Margaret. I love Maggie Alice but DH thinks she would need to be Margaret Alice as Maggie isn’t a “proper” name IYSWIM.
what’s the mumsnet verdict?

Absolutely fine. Not sure why people would chose a name they like then make their child have a longer name they don’t like?

I think he’s right, you might be good with Maggie and it’s nice - but it is quite nick namey, which she might not like. Why not give her options.

Marguerite, Margot, Megan, Magdalena, Magdalene, Magda..
