Stuck on these two names, I love both Owen was the first name I was going to pick, I also love Chester, which of the two do you prefer?

Chester is a town or a dog.

Owen is a perfectly ok boys name, though if you've got a Welsh surname like Jones then maybe not a good idea as there will be thousands of them.

Whatever you think is best, the responses on here is good reason why I never shared my name thoughts with anyone before the birth, there will always be a silly opinion on it.

Chester. I dislike Owen and everyone I've met have been spoilt brats

GreenClock · 05/07/2022 20:32

Owen is the better option. Lovely name!

Crazybabylady14 · 05/07/2022 20:32

Chester! My 7 month old is infatuated with a Chester and he's a cool little dude!

celestebellman · 05/07/2022 20:31

Definitely Owen

Chester drawers...

PritiPatelsMaker · 05/07/2022 20:30

100% if you call your child Chester, some joker at school will add - The molester on the end, and he will forever be known as Chester the Molester

I once knew a woman who was called Esther the Molester by her colleagues.

mondler · 05/07/2022 20:30

Personally I'm not a fan of Chester but if you love it go for it.

Owen i really like.

Good luck

They're both awful, sorry.

What kind of thing are you going for? Maybe we can suggest alternatives.

They're obviously going for an Owen or Chester kind of thing!

AliBaliBears · 05/07/2022 20:26

Love Owen, was on our shortlist. Don't like Chester, sorry, not my taste at all.

balalake · 05/07/2022 20:26

I can't quite get past the FB Marketplace favourite "Chester Draws".

Owen all the way for me.

itrytomakemyway · 05/07/2022 20:22

Chester is a dog's name. Owen is better. I prefer Owain though.

FASDE1517 · 05/07/2022 20:22

Chester is much, much nicer IMO

AssignedSlytherinAtBirth · 05/07/2022 20:21

Owen.

ChagSameachDoreen · 05/07/2022 20:18

Owen.

Chester is dreadful. Such a chalky but damp name.

Mitchthekitch · 05/07/2022 14:00

Chester is a dog's name (IMO)

Monacles · 05/07/2022 13:49

Owen by miles. Chester sounds like a cartoon character.

FlissyPaps · 05/07/2022 13:44

Owen.
Chester seems a bit American 2000’s teen romcom.

KirstenBlest · 05/07/2022 13:11

Owen. Chester is a nice city but not a nice name
