Baby girls names

So we’ve had our gender scan today and baby is girl!!
The first girl after two boys so I was shocked. We had a good list of boys names (Otis, Asa, Jude, Reggie) but not many girls names.

I can’t find a girls name I love. We both like Indie but I am aware that’s not a liked name on mumsnet. I like Lois and Eden, he likes Imogen.

I don’t really like old fashioned names or frilly girly names. She will more than likely not be a girly girl so something like Florence or Daisy won’t work. I also work in a school so anything top 30 is probably a no no as there will be one I'm reminded of from school!

I am aware I’m very fussy I just never envisioned having to choose a girls name!

Can anyone help me or is she destined to be named ‘baby’ forever! 😣

We can see this thread is quite old now but if you’ve landed here looking for baby naming inspo, our recently updated 1000 top girl names article may offer some ideas. Flowers

Yes we both like Indie although that’s the only one we can agree on.

DP likes Imogen but it will probably get shortened to Immy, and we already have an Isaac who gets shortened to Ikey so I think it’s a bit matchy…

I know we don’t need a name for a while yet but I am a very organised anal person and like to at least have a few decent ideas!

Agree with above, if you like Indie then use it....I really like it. I'd probably narrow it down to 2 or 3 and then when she arrives see which one feels right

Why can't you go for Indie, if you both like it? Screw what random strangers on the internet think.
If you can imagine her suiting the name as a baby, as a teenager, as an adult - then go for it. She's your child.
Equally, you don't need to panic about a name whilst you're still pregnant. A lot of couples wait until baby has arrived to see which name they suit
