Middle name for Eleanor

I think 1 syllable would go best with our surname which is quite "harsh" / "brash" sounding.

Favourite is Eleanor Rose but I'd like to avoid Rose for personal reasons if there is an alternative that I can find that we like just as much...

Thanks in advance!

I’d avoid Rose, May and Grace because they are screaming cliches

Hope, Jane, Jean, Faith, Joy, Claire

Although I think personally 2 syllables works well

Eleanor Katharine, Eleanor Beatrice etc

Eleanor Jane was a popular Victorian name in the Cumberland / Westmoreland region. I think it's beautiful.

Maybe, as others have said, the important thing is to work out it whether (with whatever accent you have) the 'Eleanor' and her actual surname will be easy for your daughter to say, without it becoming 'Elena'.

We were going to do Eleanor Elizabeth but when DD was born she just didn't look like an Eleanor.

The Eleanors I know are Eleanor Mary and Eleanor Meredith both of which I like

By far the best (lovely first name by the way) is Eleanor Rose. (Sorry - not helpful).

I know that's not one syllable though.
