Just that, really - two names we're considering at the moment. Thanks!

Aidan (with this spelling)

HopelesslyWanderingStar · 30/06/2022 20:51

There are a lot of Oscar’s at the moment. Aidan is a classic name which is not over used, so I’d go with Aidan.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 30/06/2022 20:49

i much prefer Aidan.
I went to school with one many, many years ago. To me, it’s an ancient saint’s name…. Not a variation of the more modern Jayden/Kayden type names.
I know Aidan and Aiden are both legitimate spellings, but I prefer Aidan.

Oscar is often the name of a Dog it seems and there are loads of them-Aidan is a bit less popular and a bit more mature somehow

warofthemonstertrucks · 30/06/2022 20:43

Aidan. Not Auden. Though now I say it Grin

Mizzo · 30/06/2022 20:43

I think Aiden while a nice name will be just another den name with the sea of Jayden/Brayden/Okayden.

I quite like Oscar, and Ozzy as a nn. Although for some reason Oscar always makes me think of a sea lion!

warofthemonstertrucks · 30/06/2022 20:43

Auden

Oscar.

Aiden can be a bit of a naughty boys name

Ivor is an alternative

All the Aiden’s I know are little shits so I agree with that

ChairPose9to5 · 30/06/2022 20:42

AIDAN
Oscar is ok too but it's a bit more feline.
Of the two, I can imagine an oscar being bolder.

SoupDragon · 30/06/2022 20:42

Aidan

Justwingingit2005 · 30/06/2022 20:37

respark321 · 30/06/2022 20:35

I have an Aidan so am biased.

MammaWeasel · 30/06/2022 20:34

I always thing Oscar is more a dog's name, so it's Aiden for me.

GreatCrash · 30/06/2022 20:33

Both nice, I prefer Aidan.
