Following on from the grandfather thread, this name has caught my eye.
general consensus? Also had a male Frank in the family so could be a nice nn.

I love it. It's quite common for adults around here, Ireland. We considered it for our DS but it didn't go with our surname. Go for it!

No one pissed on my chips. I just think it's an awful name and the OP asked for opinions and I gave mine. It's a family name for me too, as is the female version but that doesn't make me like it one iota more. Also please don't @ me.

I have a family member called Francis.

He's called Frankie and absolutely lovely.

I also loved Frances for a girl. Fran, Frannie.
