@IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads

How were they born 200 years ago?!?! how old are you?!

My oldest great grandparents was born in 1868. When I'm in my 70s (which many Mumsnet users are) they'll have been born 200 years ago. It's not that unusual or surprising.

Lizzy (amusingly she called herself Elizabeth in later life but was actually Lizzy on her BC).
Ellen Mary Jane (known as Minnie for some reason)

I like all those; the only one I probably wouldn't give a child now is Mary Elizabeth because she'd be just Mary in everyday use, and to my ear it needs the Elizabeth to pretty it up.

Sarah Ellen (known as Nelly)

Three were born around 1860 but one (Mary) is a weird outlier and was born in 1845, as far as I can tell from family research. She and her husband had a very large family, my paternal grandmother was the youngest, and she went on to have a similarly large family, of which my father was the youngest. He married in his 30s too. I’m 63 and it feels odd to have a g-grandmother born almost 180 years ago.
