I find this really odd. Sportsmen (and it's always men - normally footballers) having babies named after them. Your kid isn't a fan accessory like a shirt or scarf.

"Where's your name from?"
"My parents liked F1"
"What's that?"
"Back when no one gave a shit about the environment, overpaid wankers were paid ridiculous money to drive around burning fossil fuels"
"Weird. Pass another baked rat please"

I'm assuming the world has descended into dystopia because of climate change.

It reminds me of Lando Norris and I think Star Wars has a Lando? I'm not mad about it, but it isn't an absolute no. Similar in vibe to me to something like Lyall or Leonard

I don't normally like 'out there' names for want of a better term but I love Lando! Much better than Orlando. It's a proper name in its own right from what I have read - yep I liked it so much I even googled it

It's sounds like the kind of nickname a bloke is given by his mates. Lando, Browno and Fat Gaz - watch out ladies here come the banter merchants.

My cat is called Lando as we are big F1 fans. DS also has an F1 name and middle name but they are two of the more ‘normal’ names out of the current line up!
i loved Lando Norris as a name but think he’s a bit of an arrogant young prick, so it was absolutely perfect for our cat.

It's a bit too Jilly Copper for my liking. Think they're was one in the book about the school. And i tend to like Jilly's characters names
