I mean real names not La-A and Lemonjello or Chlamydia or other urban legends.

A friend in the U.S has called her baby son, Sundance. I rather like it in a way though I was taken aback at first.

I met a McLaren recently too, not as unusual as Sundance but not something that you encounter every day either.

That made me laugh more than it should've.

Somebody I know has a son called Chase, and a fried named her daughter Faustine. I've never heard of the name Faustine before but I actually fell in love with the name as soon as she told me!

I met a Tar a few years ago. I thought the full name must be Tarquin but it turned out to be Tarzan.

Rupertgrintismyguiltypleasure · 16/06/2022 22:29

Dd has a Thor in her class.
DS knows a Fenton, Phoenix and marshall
dsis also knows a Phoenix and a boy called Kaan
we know a girl called blue,.
ds has a unique name, I can’t say as it will be very very outing.
i love unique names, I think it’s better than being 1 in a million kids called Alfie or Olivia etc.

My little girl made a friend at the park recently who's middle name was Octopus (first name also very out there, so much so I can't recall it).

IrisM22 · 16/06/2022 22:12

This is a Greek name. Not massively popular, but not strange!
