Help with second twin girl

Junglejanie · 13/06/2022 09:40

Twin 1 will be called Abigail and I already have a little girl called Alice.

I am really struggling with another name. I previously liked Isla but I have now discounted. My current top name is Juliet but it just doesn't feel right.

Any ideas of fairly traditional names? I would prefer if it wasn't another A name.

Jemima ?

anothernamedoesntsmellsosweet · 15/06/2022 17:52

Alice, Abigail and Lucy

KirstenBlest · 15/06/2022 17:14

Yes. A friend's DD is Anneli, which I struggled to get used to. They have no scandinavian connection

Hadtocomment · 15/06/2022 15:16

@KirstenBlest I was thinking of Angeli as I know someone called Angeli and always thought it a nice name that the op might like if she likes Alice and Abigail. Looking it up it says Greek or Italian origin and it's another version of Angela (but I liked Angeli better soundwise). Anjali is a really beautiful name too though.

Abigail and Susannah

WeLoveYouMissHanigan · 15/06/2022 12:13

Beatrix
elizabeth
violet
cecily

KirstenBlest · 15/06/2022 12:12

Give the name you are looking for to the first twin born, not the second.
That way your DDs will be Alice, Zoe and Abigail, and the twins will be Zoe and Abigail.
The younger twin/younger child will always come last but will come first in alphabetical order lists of first names. Not many names will be before Abigail on alphabetically sorted lists unless you go for Aaliya or Aadriti.

@Hadtocomment , did you mean Anjali?

Hadtocomment · 14/06/2022 22:56

Esther? I really like Jemima as so characterful. Rosalind. Jessica. Angeli. Vivianne. Beatrix. Anne.

Luredbyapomegranate · 14/06/2022 22:37

All nice, but Alice, Abigail and Emma goes best of those choices, I think

Jun345 · 14/06/2022 22:21

I love the idea of another A! Only because I think maybe your non A daughter might one day feel left out?! Might be projecting there, but could feel more of a unit if all of them are A’s. Given Alice and Abigail are quite traditional beautiful names what about any of these A’s:

Ada
Anna
Avery
Amelia

Juliet is a wonderful name. if I had a third daughter she'd have been Juliet (I also have an Alice).

PleaseYourselfandEatTheCrusts · 14/06/2022 21:27

Oh, Juliet is great Smile

Thanks everyone I think we are going to go with Juliet, a lot of people have praised it in this thread and it's made me like it more. The others I am toying with are Kate and Emma.
I do feel guilty though that I love Alice and Abigail so much that I am giving the third baby a name that I don't love as much. I just hope I don't change my mind and regret it.
Thanks for everyone's suggestions.

The danger of biblically named twins is people may assume you are a god botherer, which may or may not bother you

Loulou1712 · 13/06/2022 19:48

Penelope (biased as it's my eldests' name)
Charlotte

But I do like juliet too.

Id personally choose a really old or really modern names to go with Abigail to avoid the 80s vibe too much i.e Abigail and Louise were common names when I was growing up, Abigail definately still works but certain pairings could date it if you get what I mean x

Gingermoth · 13/06/2022 19:32

I know it's another A name but I like Anna.
