Theodora. Love it. Olive is ok, but I'm much less keen on Fern. She could be Theo, Thea, Dora or Teddy.

Neverplayleapfrogwithaunicorn · 12/06/2022 08:51

How about Olave

averythinline · 12/06/2022 08:44

Fern or Olive both really good names....whilst like teddy as a nn not so keen on Theodora..

Tryagain2020 · 12/06/2022 08:18

Fern. I hate Olive and don't understand the popularity. Theo/Thea is too trendy and common.

Workawayxx · 12/06/2022 08:15

Fern is my favourite.

halfsiesonapotnoodle · 12/06/2022 08:12

Fern. The others are hideous!

SpringIntoChaos · 12/06/2022 08:02

Theodora...I love it 😍 There's a little girl with this name in my school (pronounced Tiadora, but spelt Theodora) and she's known most of the time as Teddy, which is just so cute.

Puppyhouse · 12/06/2022 07:25

Love teddy as nickname @xmasaries thats what would sway me 😂

I like Olive and Fern!

Theodora isn't my style although I do love the opportunity for Teddy as a nickname.

Puppyhouse · 12/06/2022 06:07

@MurderAtTheBeautyPageant thats so funny I don’t think they are different in style at all! All quite vintage! Fern was most common after the war which I love about it

Theodora.

Olive and Fern are both really wet imo.

calmlakes · 11/06/2022 23:33

I really like Theodora and I like Fern.
I don't like Olive that much.

MurderAtTheBeautyPageant · 11/06/2022 23:31

Are they names suggested by three separate people? All feel so different in style to me.

If I had to pick I think I'd go for Fern even if it is a bit '80s mum'.

AnnaSW1 · 11/06/2022 23:29

Theodore is lovely. To my ears the other two names are just plain

DinosaursEatMan · 11/06/2022 23:24

Theodora is beautiful.

lifecanbehardattimes · 11/06/2022 23:07

Theodora sounds like the name of a hat.

However I don't dislike it but it will definitely be shortened to Theo or Dora.

DramaAlpaca · 11/06/2022 23:05

Olive, or Fern. Love both.

Not Theodora.

PurpleandPlatinum · 11/06/2022 23:03

Olive

RuthW · 11/06/2022 23:03

Theodora

Talkwhilstyouwalk · 11/06/2022 23:03

TheVolturi · 11/06/2022 21:00

I don't like Olive. It's basically Clive with part of one letter missing! The others are nice. I prefer Fern.

You just ruined it for me 🤣

Talkwhilstyouwalk · 11/06/2022 23:01

I find Fern a bit weak. And I'm not a massive fan of the fern plant so that would put me off....

Talkwhilstyouwalk · 11/06/2022 23:00

Olive I like a lot, my grandma was called
Olive. I didn't have the guts to use it myself and went for the far more popular Olivia instead as I felt it was a more current version. Admittedly Olivia is VERY popular, but I think popular names are popular for a reason myself.....

Theodora is a fabulous name too. I know one, she goes by Ted. Personally I prefer Thea but technically that is not an abbreviation of Theodora or a 'proper' full version of a name so we didn't go for it ourselves not that we are massive name snobs.

Fern

toastofthetown · 11/06/2022 22:57

Fern.

Titsflyingsouth · 11/06/2022 22:39
