For a boy?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

@NotKevinTurvey Just want to say that I thought Kevin Turvey was a very funny character and I loved his crap 'investigations' Grin

Gone, but not forgotten.

stepuporshutup · 11/06/2022 12:47

Yes if you want your dc to have the piss taken out of him all his life and for him to hate you because you are an abusive attention idiot.

But you wanted this answer because you are a troll

PlanetNormal · 11/06/2022 12:31

Great choice, OP. Go for it!

Emperor would go well with Akihito, Haile Selassie or even Haile Dubious as middle names.

... has no clothes?

That's exactly what I thought!

For a boy?

If you want something exotic I’d suggest Rothmans or Frogmella rather than this; they are less likely to have a negative effect in later life.

Whitehorsegirl · 11/06/2022 10:04

That would be completely ridiculous...

You can always pick an actual Roman Emperor name instead. Although probably not Caligula.

Branleuse · 11/06/2022 10:03

I would think it quite odd if you are white british, but in some cultures ive noticed royal themed names and I dont think anything of it.
Ive heard of people called Sultan, Majesty, Prince etc.

WhatsHoppening · 11/06/2022 09:59

@toastofthetown I haven’t ridiculed it at all. FWIW I think if you choose an out there name surely you’re prepared for a strong reaction either way with it. If you didn’t you’d pick a more mainstream name?

😂 thank you for your input.
Its not really a serious contender- currently pregnant with first DS and I overheard a mother shouting her 2/3 year old son in the supermarket and he was called Emperor. It was the first time a name has really made me turn my head!

Ah, so yet another post where someone isn’t asking for opinions on a name for any reason other than to ridicule the name of a child. How lovely.

AngelicaElizaAndPeggy · 11/06/2022 09:49

On second thoughts, I'm assuming you are thinking for a human. If it's for a Guinea pig, then crack on.

AngelicaElizaAndPeggy · 11/06/2022 09:48

What happens if he ends up working as a customer services operative in a call centre. He might feel a bit too grand.

Was it Waitrose?! Perhaps she was asking him to grab the Tempura batter?!?!

Ach stop it! Horrendous name to bestow on a child. Why would you even consider it fgs????

LittleBearPad · 11/06/2022 09:09

No - his future significant other won’t thank you. Imagine the self importance

DropYourSword · 11/06/2022 09:07

Kuzco or penguin spring to mind immediately

mrsjg · 11/06/2022 07:55

Good god, no.

Snog · 11/06/2022 07:54

Duke or Earl?

FishcakesWithTooMuchCoriander · 11/06/2022 07:53

Unless you come from a cultural background where this might be a good choice, it’s probably a bad idea. If you are white, British family living in a suburb of a regional town people are going to find the name less appealing.

Axahooxa · 11/06/2022 07:52

No!
How about:
Chosen-One
Divine
THE KING

SpinstileTurnstile · 11/06/2022 07:51

PAFMO · 11/06/2022 07:49

Yeah go for it.
You could call his brother Fascist-Dictator with a nice hyphen.

with a sister Monarcha

SpinstileTurnstile · 11/06/2022 07:49

BanjoVio · 11/06/2022 07:37

It makes me think of colonialism and subjugation. Maybe just me..?

And wasn't the nickname for the many spoilt boys brought up under China's one-child policy 'Little Emperors'? i.e. a spoiled boy who wishes to dominate his parents and others.

GiveMyHeadPeaceffs · 11/06/2022 07:45

Even a shortened version wouldn't do a kid any favours, Empy? MP?

But hey, go for it!
