Its dreadful and sounds like a name that kim kardashian would use Don't do it.

RorschachPest · 12/06/2022 18:10

Maybe it's just an extension of the old 'where he was conceived' idea? Brooklyn, Paris... the emperor bed in that really nice AirBNB in Harrogate?

Bsaunders4231 · 12/06/2022 18:08

I feel like it could only ever work if your son was a VERY outgoing and confident person. It wouldn’t look right on someone who’s quiet and timid

merryhouse · 12/06/2022 14:09

Caesar/Cesar has a well-established history

Luredbyapomegranate · 12/06/2022 13:56

Did anyone else think Rosko?

DumpedByText · 11/06/2022 20:02

FFS why put a kid through a name like that, just pick a normal name!

dexterslockedintheshedagain · 11/06/2022 19:52

Not unless your surname is Caligula.

AmandaMirandaPanda · 11/06/2022 19:43

Penguin all the way for me.

Other suggestions:
Adelie

Erect Crested
Gentoo
Jackass
King
Macaroni
Rockhopper

ChagSameachDoreen · 11/06/2022 19:39

Lovely. He can be Rory for short.

Next one will be called Frothmeister Maireas

Or Bubbles. 😉

Inconsequentialpish is probably a bit wordy for recall purposes…

You could take photos of him with gifts of clothing for sm and title them “Emperor’s New Clothes”.

Margotshypotheticaldog · 11/06/2022 15:35

Baby names = The new Aibu
Maybe it really is a conspiracy 🤔

In my next life, my child will be called Frothmeister.

What are your dogs called?

Maireas · 11/06/2022 15:29

I do hope that the family name was Palpatine.

Could work, I work with someone called Prince.

I know a prince but he spells it Prinz so I agree it could work - I only know a kid called lucifer so you know uncommon names are in style now.

WhatsHoppening · 11/06/2022 09:26

😂 thank you for your input.
Its not really a serious contender- currently pregnant with first DS and I overheard a mother shouting her 2/3 year old son in the supermarket and he was called Emperor. It was the first time a name has really made me turn my head!

I think you misheard.

There's certainly a concerted little movement to take the piss out MN and MN users at the moment, with ridiculous OPs and ridiculously rude and derailing posts on a lot of threads. I think the wider intention is to make the site appear stupid, trivial and/or hostile.

Some people do call their kids daft names though. And there's not much dafter than this one.

You're right. There's a whole load of them. Some posters even come on and agree with the name "choice".

MoggyP · 11/06/2022 15:23

I'd prefer Ming The Merciless tbh

midsomermurderess · 11/06/2022 14:57

I prefer His Serenity the Supreme Being, but, you do you.
