Girls name ideas

I’m expecting a second daughter this summer and have found it so much harder this time around to find names that feel right. Our first is Phoebe Francesca so obviously would like to find a name to compliment that.
Thea is a contender though I am
not 100% and am not sure what to have as a second name but feel like a long name would work best as our surname is short.
Ideas most welcome please…

Thea always sounds unfinished to me, although I like Theodora - that way you get Dora and Dorey as nn options.

Alexandra is nice but unless you impose Sacha or Alecky early, she will be Ally or Alex

Michaela... I do think it’s an ugly name, also very downmarket 80s

emmathedilemma · 09/06/2022 21:52

Alexandra is good, Michaela feels very dated to me, and not in a trendy way!

User6761 · 09/06/2022 19:42

I like Eloise and Elodie but it would make initials ET so that's put me off a little.

i know a couple of people with ET initials, it's never been an issue as far as I'm aware. I wouldn't not choose an E name because of a T surname.

17caterpillars1mouse · 09/06/2022 19:36

If you go with Thea you have alot of a very similar sound with Phoebe and Francesc too.

I always think Phoebe and Mabel sound nice together

TracieT · 09/06/2022 19:31

Thanks all, some good suggestions to consider. DH agrees that maybe Thea isn't right. We do like Alexandra and he likes Michaela.
Am I silly for getting hung up on initials also? Our surname begins with T - I like Eloise and Elodie but it would make initials ET so that's put me off a little.

I think I'd avoid Th and Fl starting sounds with Phoebe or they to mush together a bit.

ella or laila are stunning girls names really

AliBaliBears · 09/06/2022 09:31

I really like PPs suggestions of Abigail, Isobel, Annabel, Harriet and Georgina. They all go well with Phoebe.

Not keen on Thea personally, but nothing wrong with it.

blameitonthecaffeine · 09/06/2022 09:18

I like Thea. I don't think sibling names have to 'go' but I might worry about the ph and th sounds. For a child who might already struggle with th, Thea might become 'fee-a' when given the added confusion of 'fee-bee'.

Thea Evangeline
Thea Antonia
Thea Madeline

I have a business where I personalize baby things so I see sooo many nice (and not so nice) names. The nicest one that has stuck out to me recently is Blake for a girl, I love it! There’s a real trend just now of using old lady names again, I think it’s really cute. Have done lots of Mabels, Margots, Stellas and Bettys/Betsys. Sienna is a nice one, that might go quite well? It depends how popular/unpopular you’d like it to be?
