Lena
Sophia
Mia

Grace/Alice. Really dislike both of these

AliBaliBears · 27/05/2022 16:39

I like Alice and Grace.

Really don't like Sophia at all.

Mia and Lena are ok but it's not obvious how to pronounce them (I like My-a more than Mee-a, Lay-na more than Lee-na)

Alice is the only one I really like. The rest are a bit 'wet' for me.

Luredbyapomegranate · 27/05/2022 03:23

They are all massively overused, Grace and Alice are the most classic and Grace less popular so I’d go for that

Safina, Sabrina, Susannah, Shoshanna, Serena, Sanchia, Sylvia, Alicia, Adela, Hope, Esther, Elowen, Estella, Olwen, Annas/Annis, Jane, Clare, Constance, Jocelyn might be alternatives

AKA I personally don’t like these so use one of the names I DO like. Even though you’re naming your child not mine <eyeroll>

ChagSameachDoreen · 27/05/2022 07:22

They're all so bland and common. Choose a more imaginative name!

Alice - 3
Grace - 2

PoemBeatrice · 26/05/2022 20:25

I prefer Sophie over Sophia.
Personally, I think all these names are fine, but very 2000 and modern type.
I also don't like typical British pronunciation of Lena, because Lina already exist. I never understood name Mia, people are constantly thinking it means mine in Italian, but it's usually used in Germany and Scandi as variation of Maria. I like Alice and Grace, and either of those would be my pick.

Yes to: Alice, Grace
No to: Sophia, Lena and Mia

Sophia - it's a pretty name but I have two dds and they both have a Sophia in every class plus school nursery so one In rainbows, one in gymnastics, one in dance class, one in forest school, one in playgroup. I'm getting a bit bored with hearing it

Mia - short and sweet

Lena - ok, just L names are everywhere and I find they all kind of blend into one

Alice - nice name, classic

Grace - I like it

If I had to choose I would go with Mia

DramaAlpaca · 26/05/2022 19:50

Alice
Sophia
Lena
Grace
Mia

GreatCuppa · 26/05/2022 17:39

Probably Lena or Sophia.

Grace and Mia just feel massively overused. Bored of them, to be honest.

KirstenBlest · 26/05/2022 17:22

I only like Alice.

Lena will be Leena/Layna.
Sophia has been too popular too long so she'll be Sophia Surname.
Mia sounds like Mere and is overused
Grace is ok but overused as a middle name and won't suit everyone.

SilkBlouse · 26/05/2022 17:16

They’re all nice names, but my opinion:

Mia
Grace
Lena
Alice
Sophia

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 26/05/2022 17:07

Alice
Mia
Lena
Sophia
Grace

Unless I could choose Sophie instead of Sophia, then it would be number one easily.

Howeverdoyouneedme · 26/05/2022 17:05

Mia I never know how to say it. Mee-a, My-a. Blurs with all those Mila/Myla/Maya type names.

Alice and Grace are classics.

Lena. Again is it Leena/Lena.

Sophia probably my favourite.
