Family name that I really love. Thoughts? For a girl.

I like it!

Dinoteeth · 23/05/2022 00:30

Biscuits or Soap powder.

Sorry but no from me

Gloschick · 23/05/2022 00:24

I know an Aurielle. She is called Auri for short. I'm not sure I like Oriel so much.

alorslanon · 23/05/2022 00:20

We have one in the family. She hates it. But I also had a friend called Auriole, which I always really liked. Same name, more usual spelling IMO. And of course Aurelia is v popular now…

It was my grandmother's name, we didn't have much of a relationship.

SpudsIluv · 22/05/2022 21:53

Biscuit 🍪 anyone!😲🤣

SpaceJamtart · 22/05/2022 21:13

Is it pronounced Or-ree-ell or Or-ree-ul or something else?

AdaColeman · 22/05/2022 21:04

I was at school with an Oriel, I've liked it ever since. Its meaning is "golden" which is lovely.

SpringIntoChaos · 22/05/2022 20:51

I used to go to Oriel Bank School...so I'd really have to say no 🤣

AnnaMagnani · 22/05/2022 20:47

Made me think of the recruitment portal.

pictish · 22/05/2022 20:40

Lovely but will be misheard frequently.

Undecicive · 22/05/2022 20:35

washing powder

WakeWaterWalk · 22/05/2022 20:25

Window.

User354354 · 22/05/2022 20:24

Oral. Was my first pronunciation in my head.

Trinacham · 22/05/2022 20:24

Made me think of L'Oréal if I'm honest

AloyNoraWarrior · 22/05/2022 20:23

First thing that came to mind was the fact it’s the name of the recruitment portal for post-grad medics, dentists, pharmacists…

Furrbabymama87 · 22/05/2022 20:23

Don't even go there.

AssignedSlytherinAtBirth · 22/05/2022 20:23

Lovely. Interesting. It's a window, though, isn't it? So I'd probably go for Ariel.

ElenaSt · 22/05/2022 20:22

Golden Oriel.

No. Kids will call her oral.

Finalcountdowntoourtripaway · 22/05/2022 20:21

Middle name at the very most....
