Is this whacky or cool?

Hi what do you think of a name Easton?
I don't want names that are too known or popular, but don't want anything whacky either.

It's a very fine line and just when I think I've struck a nice balance with a name, I worry if it's not a "safe" name.

Any other ideas welcome Smile
Thank you

@BinBandit surname is not popular nor unusual - along the lines of Edmund. Two syllables.

I like Austin and Emerson

Sheena is all I think of

Had to Google it. A singer in her 60s - I don't think my son would have to worry with her association amongst his future friends Grin

I don't mind it to be honest, it maybe depends on the surname? Easton Smith maybe not but Easton Draper or something more unusual sounds good.

Other ideas:
Emerson
Innes
Austin
Grayson
Blair

@MrsEricBana yes it comes from similar background as Weston. I find Weston a bit too ..'established' and wanted something a bit more newer.

Btw we don't live in England (but another English speaking country) so won't be associated with Euston.

I am thinking to have it as a middle name as am prob not brave enough to use as a first name

I like the name after reading it and saying it in my head a couple of times. I'll admit the first thing that crossed my mind was 'Euston, like the station?'. But after reading it a few times I think it's okay.

I see where you're coming from but I think it's not really a name or perhaps it's an American name? Weirdly Weston sounds better - Nicolas Cage has a son called this i think.

Possibly would always be confused with Ethan. Personally I think it sounds too makey-uppy
