Flora or Seamus

Lily - wet and way overdone
Alma - depressed barmaid - I know it's popular, I just don't get it
Nell - lovely as a short form for Eleanor etc, but a bit overdone
Romy - OK, very of the moment, will date
Frida - 2nd choice, though prefer Frieda spelling (to avoid Fridda mispronunciation)

Vinnie - thuggish
Barney - yes as a nn for Barnabas or Barnaby, too babyish alone
Remi - it's usually spelt Remy - and makes me think of a 65 year old French bloke

WhatDoIDoNow3 · 17/05/2022 03:22

Flora 4
Lily 2 would be 1 if it was spelt lillie
Alma 5
Nell 3
Romy 6
Frida 1 Love

Vinnie 1
Barney 4
Remi 2
Seamus 3

P.S I can tell from your names you love film and television, especially the haunting of hill house/bly manor

Saltnpepperr · 16/05/2022 20:19

Nell and Seamus

Blowyourowntrumpet · 15/05/2022 19:31

I think Remi as a girl's name. I really dislike Alma and Romy.

Barney isn't too bad but I don't like any of them. Sorry

topshotta · 15/05/2022 19:28

Don't like any apart from seamus nn shay

Goldfishmountainclimber · 15/05/2022 19:16

Nell - nice nickname
Romy - no
Frida - no

Vinnie - Vincent is ok
Barney - nice
Remi - no
Seamus - no

Lily is the most timeless out of your choices

Mymoneydontjigglejiggle · 14/05/2022 11:01

Love Flora and Barney.

TidyDancer · 14/05/2022 09:48

Flora - becoming overused lately but alright
Lily - nice but again overused
Alma - Baldwin to me, but old reference
Nell - love it, but feels unfinished
Romy - adore this, but Johnson ruined it for me
Frida - old lady name that shouldn't come back (see also Vera, Mavis, etc)

Vinnie - nickname, Vincent would be okay
Barney - nickname again and borderline pretentious
Remi - love it
Seamus - not for me, but would put it second behind Remi.

toastofthetown · 14/05/2022 09:39

Flora - nice
Lily - so very popular it’s just dull
Alma - really like Alma
Nell - an ugly sound to me. Prefer it as a nickname
Romy - another I prefer as a nickname
Frida - love Frida, great name

Vinnie - I like Vincent, but not Vinnie
Barney - quite sweet
Remi - I prefer the Remy spelling. It’s nice but gaining in popularity
Seamus - quite like Seamus, I’d be surprised if a Seamus wasn’t Irish (if you’re not)

elfran · 14/05/2022 09:30

Frida or Nell 😍

For boys I'm not keen on any except Barney but only as a nn for Barnaby.

Mumofgirls2017 · 14/05/2022 08:59

Flora Nell and Romy

Vinnie and Remi

my favourites!

Imogensmumma · 14/05/2022 05:00

TempsPerdu · 14/05/2022 00:31

Flora or Frida - both lovely. Not keen on any of your boys’ names though I’m afraid.

Agreed ^

Flora is gorgeous, Frida lovely but heard it so much lately so be prepared it may be popular

Vinnie and Barney is a big no from me

20viona · 14/05/2022 02:51

Roma and Vinnie

Happenchance · 14/05/2022 02:15

Flora - Margarine, but Laura is OK.
Lily - Too closed in on itself.
Alma - Like
Nell - Ok as nickname for Elenora
Romy - Negative connotations because of Boris Johnson. Romona nn Romy?
Frida - Dislike

Vinnie - Hate
Barney - Ok
Remi - Used to like but have gone off it.
Seamus - Like the sound but it's too similar to "Shame us" for my liking.

In short, I would use Alma or Seamus.

CockSpadget · 14/05/2022 00:52

I love Nell, I had an Aunty Nell, and she was a fabulous woman so im a bit biased on that one. Remi or Barney would be my pick out of the boys names.

TempsPerdu · 14/05/2022 00:31

Flora or Frida - both lovely. Not keen on any of your boys’ names though I’m afraid.

Hadtocomment · 13/05/2022 23:19

I like Flora Nell and Frida. Not sure about the boys names. Maybe Barney or Remi.

TheWayoftheLeaf · 13/05/2022 23:14

I like them all except Vinnie and Barney. The former seems a bit overused recently to me and the latter is a dinosaur.

Love Romi and Lily, Nell and Alma.

DramaAlpaca · 13/05/2022 23:09

Flora - pretty
Lily - love it
Alma - horrid
Nell - OK as a diminutive but Nellie is awful
Romy - like it, but only as a diminutive
Frida - horrid

Vinnie - OK as a diminutive of Vincent
Barney - God, no!
Remi - no
Seamus - hate it

Firebird83 · 13/05/2022 23:05

I like Flora, Alma, Frida and Seamus

SpaceJamtart · 13/05/2022 14:24

I like Nell, Lily, Romy, Remi and Seamus

ShadowPuppets · 13/05/2022 14:23

Flora and Barney for me I think!

Flora - like it a lot
Lily - bit done, slightly tired?
Alma - not for me
Nell - bit of a nickname, would use a longer version
Romy - ok, don’t love it
Frida - like it but worry it’s the next Freya?

Vinnie - not for me
Barney - cute, would be concerned about how it works on an older man but coming around to it
Remi - worry it’s a bit feminine?
Seamus - love it but wouldn’t use it myself as no Irish ancestry
