I’m sure we’ve settled on the name Orla for our third and final baby.. out of our other options what would you pick.

Ella
Tilly

Rhea
Piper
Brodie
Seren
Paige
Jorgie (Jorgie Jean sounds awesome to me)
Paisley
Stevie
Quinn

Some ideas. Names are so personal, it's hard to suggest for people!

Indie is a super cool name though 😎

Orla is gorgeous and means golden princess its my daughters middle name ... congratulations x

thewhatsit · 12/05/2022 06:47

Oh Orla definitely.

Ella is very common - which clearly you mind.
Tilly is a nickname and on its own is too cutesy.

I don’t understand the PP who says they don’t go with your other kids’ names. Orla fits in well. You clearly go for:

  1. short names. 1 or 2 syllables.

  2. easy to pronounce, no frills

  3. known names that won’t be misunderstood that are not too common

babyjellyfish · 12/05/2022 01:23

What about Erin?

LittlemissMama67 · 11/05/2022 10:49

Jean is my granny’s name and her mums name was Jeanie so I’m super excited to use it for our baby girl, I think it’s so beautiful

Orla. second fave is Jean, I know that’s only a middle name contender but I love it.

Oh okay gotcha

The fact was conjecture about the meaning of the word Orla, that as far as I remember had nothing to do with the etymology of the Irish name.

sageandbasil · 08/05/2022 20:01

Orla is my fave and imo flows the nicest! Great names btw I love Rex and indie!

LittlemissMama67 · 08/05/2022 19:33

But what was the fact?

Apparently you're not allowed to state facts on this site anymore.

Cindie943811A · 08/05/2022 15:40

Actually, if you wanted a longer name then Orlanda is rather nice

Cindie943811A · 08/05/2022 15:39

Wretched tablet — I meant Orla, of course. Looks like my iPad has its own preference, lol

Cindie943811A · 08/05/2022 15:37

Orlando goes well with the other names.
Now you’ve agreed on Orla Daisy Jean don’t overthink it. Just stick with it. Time to readjust after your DD is born if she just doesn’t fit her names.
