MacKenzie/McKenzie means 'son of Kenneth'. Not gender neutral, unless words have no meanings any more.

A lot of gender neutral names are spelt differently. So a y if feminine, i if masculine.

Seconding Twizbe's warning. My sister has a neutral name (mostly because my mother wanted a boy), and there have been a lot of issues.

Personally, I lean more towards names that have neutral nicknames, but for actual neutral names that I haven't spotted yet: Emery/Emory/Amery
Alexis
Avery
Cassidy
Davri
Jamie
Kacey
Kelley
Kelsey
Merit
Sage
Shea
Zeal

Francis/Frances.

Though a word of warning about gender neutral names. My mum has one and she's lost count of the times that she's been mistaken for a man. The worst was when she went into hospital for a gynae procedure and was put on a male surgical ward. She thought it was odd that everyone was talking to my dad until she realised what had happened.

Perhaps go for a longer name that has a neutral shortening E.g Alexandra / Alexander
