As a sibling for Tabitha?

What goes best?

Both great names, but Esther with Tabitha.

rayofglasshalfempty · 13/04/2022 20:45

Esther. Love Eti for a nickname.

dmb91 · 13/04/2022 20:25

Martha

SirSidneyRuffDiamond · 13/04/2022 20:23

I prefer Esther. I also really love Hester, which was my great grandmother's name.

tearinghairout · 13/04/2022 20:14

I love the name Tabitha. Not keen on Martha. Esther is nicer. Rebekah? Dinah? I love those names. Abishag ? Maybe not Wink

SunshiningBoo · 13/04/2022 20:04

Esther

ZoyaTheDestroyer · 13/04/2022 19:37

Martha is one of my all-time favourite girls’ names but it’s too matchy with Tabitha.

So Esther. Or perhaps the variant Hester?

IsadoraQuagmire · 13/04/2022 14:41

I like Martha very much. I've never liked Esther as a name (though I think it looks pretty written down)

NellietheNumpty · 13/04/2022 14:11

Kezia. Another biblical name.

veronicagoldberg · 13/04/2022 13:38

Tabitha and Martha is a bit heavy on the "th".

Esther is a lovely name.

However, Esther and Tabitha together sound like the protagonists from a morality play set in 17th century Salem.

CruCru · 13/04/2022 13:38

I like Esther. Martha is okay but I’ve met quite a few young children called it (might just be where I live though).

brackengirl · 13/04/2022 13:34

I have an 8yr old Esther so I'd vote Esther although I also like Martha. Essie or Bess is a good nickname although she goes by her full name at school. The only annoying thing she has come across is people spelling it Ester or Esta. It is quite popular in church circles (I know 4 under 13) but she is the only one in her large primary school. Another name we considered was Kezia/ Keziah.

Thehundredthnamechange · 13/04/2022 13:14

Considering I read the Bible daily, I'm embarrassed not to know that Lois is a biblical name! Its nice, but I prefer Martha and Esther Smile

Marcipex · 13/04/2022 12:57

Esther.

Martha is a bit frumpy.

NeinDanke · 13/04/2022 12:50

I love Esther. If you like Lois though it's also Biblical - 2 Timothy 1:5. She was a woman of faith although not as well-known as Esther and Martha Smile

PierresPotato · 13/04/2022 12:49

Esther

I like Susannah too.

flirtygirl · 13/04/2022 12:47

Lois is a biblical name. Both names are clumpy.

There are so many biblical names...

Spikeyball · 13/04/2022 12:42

Esther. Martha is a bit matchy and I had a relative named Esther who was strong, wise and kind.

RuthW · 13/04/2022 12:15

Martha. I think Esther is a bit harsh

Surreyhillsmamatobe · 13/04/2022 12:00

Martha is beautiful, classy and wholesome

Esther, not so much (I really don’t like the name!)

cptartapp · 13/04/2022 11:59

Esther by a mile.

namechangeforprivacyxxx · 13/04/2022 11:59

Esther definitely

CoffeeBeansGalore · 13/04/2022 11:58

Martha feels clumpy. I have known 2 Esthers, both lovely, so biased for Esther.

17caterpillars1mouse · 13/04/2022 11:54

I like both and both are lovely with Tabitha

I slightly prefer Esther as I love the NN option Essie

Mumofgirls2017 · 13/04/2022 11:52

I think Esther by a hairline
