Clara and Rosa - do they go?

DD1 is Clara. We really like the name Rosa for DD2. Do the two names go together well or are they too similar with both ending in "a"? Thank you x

Thanks everyone - I think we've officially decided on Rosa now! Smile

@Joystir59 I know they are two seperate individuals, which was indeed why I wanted to make sure that the names weren't too similar/matchy. But I also didn't want names that are too vastly different.

Thank you all x

@Joystir59

Why do their names have to go together? They are two entirely separate individual people.
I’m sure the OP is thinking the same thing as you, seeing as she was worried they were too similar.

I think they’re lovely both separately and together.

Both beautiful together. I'm expecting a DS this summer but if it was a girl Clara was our top choice.

canichange · 15/04/2022 06:59

They sound perfect together, great choice!

They sound beautiful together. Smile

Saltyquiche · 15/04/2022 06:00

Rosa and Rose are beautiful and sit perfectly with Clara

liveforsummer · 15/04/2022 05:56

I'm not sure OP wants to call her little girl Ross?! 😆

heymuggee · 15/04/2022 05:29

I prefer Clara and Rosie/Ross but then I dislike the name Rosa anyway

liveforsummer · 15/04/2022 05:26

Yes, lovely. I have 2 girls with names both ending in A and I think it's a nice combo.

uncomfortablydumb53 · 15/04/2022 04:36

They sound lovely together

DappledOliveGroves · 15/04/2022 03:07

Lovely names. Incidentally Rosa Clara is a Spanish wedding dress designer (just bought my Rosa Clara wedding dress last week!)

jokalyn · 15/04/2022 02:36

Both beautiful names but from very different cultures

Padderbadger · 15/04/2022 01:48

Yes I think they are pretty together

UpToMyElbowsInDiapers · 15/04/2022 00:58

Beautiful!

@maryberryslayers

I know gorgeous little twins called Clara and Rosa. I think they are perfect together.
It’s sweet.. but it is quite twinny

I would perhaps call Rosa Rosanna so she has an option to stand out more.

WeSellAnyBra · 12/04/2022 14:09

They go together beautifully. Both lovely, classic, classy names.

DurdleSnore · 12/04/2022 13:51

@ClaudineClare interesting, I didn't know that!

Yes, they go really well together

ClaudineClare · 11/04/2022 17:15

Yes they do go together, they are lovely. Did you know that there are two sisters with those names in a book by Isabel Allende - The House of the Spirits. Fabulous book.

Moopnorth · 11/04/2022 17:14

I know (very vaguely so not too outing!) siblings called Clara and Rosa. Primary school age, they’re lovely girls and I complimented their parents when I learned them! The names go lovely together IMHO.

SunshiningBoo · 11/04/2022 17:09

Both lovely names. I think they go together.
