Mollie , Molly to me screams common as muck whereas Mollie is much more attractive written. At my private school any of the namesakes were called Mollie with an ie.

Mollie. This is my name and I'm sooo glad it's spelt this way. It makes it a little bit different and most people ask when spelling it "with a Y or an IE?". If they don't ask when writing it down, I just say Mollie with IE - it really isn't that difficult having a name that isn't spelt the "normal" waySmile

Molly. I always read Mollie as Molleye

bubblybrooke · 07/04/2022 23:03

Definitely Molly. Mollie doesn’t look right, and Molly is prettier and classier.

I'm a Molly with a -y :) definitely the better spelling and no one has ever automatically spelt it -ie when I've given my name

Chanel05 · 07/04/2022 20:38

Molly - if you go with the ie version, she will forever have to correct people.

With a y. But I don’t think it is a name in itself. It is a nn

Molly. We had a westie dog called Molly, so naturally I love the name

PoleFairy · 06/04/2022 13:49

Mollie. I actually see it as more old fashioned and timeless as my mothers aunt born in 1912 was called Mollie.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 06/04/2022 13:47

My DD is Molly. I do sometimes wish id been more adventurous with the spelling though.
