If it's pronounced Halee shouldn't it be spelled like that, Halee?

Halle makes the pronunciation very difficult and unintuitive imo.

Hally or Hallie would be a more intuitive spelling.

I'm none the wiser with Halee - is it Hayley or Hal-ee?

I prefer Halle spelt Hallie.
I like Emmy, but prefer it spelt Emmie.

Halle? That's the German word for hall...
And Pippa is the Spanish word for cigar, or sunflower seed, yet a perfectly normal English name that people still use.

Halle the name and Halle the German word have different pronunciations anyway.
