What do you think of Jemima? Not fan of Gemma and don't care about the Aunt Jemima thing. Would it be wrong to use if not Jewish?

What other names could you suggest that I might like.

I love it and wasn’t even aware of a Jewish connection

Nice. A proper traditional name but not common and also not too much of an "old lady name".

Love it
One of my favourite names

I don't think the name sounds nice at all, but I don't think it's wrong for a non-Jewish parent to choose it.

Puddle-Duck.

Love Jemima. I don't think it's any more problematic than Eve, Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel, Miriam, Deborah, Naomi, Ruth, Esther, Elizabeth, Susannah...

Jemima is lovely!
