Really don't like it. Every Kay I've known in real life has been awful as well

I think it's ok as a nickname, in common with a lot of previous posters, or as a middle name.

I know one. She's just called Kay
She gets called Kate a lot, and people ask if she's called Katherine or Kathleen

I like it and also like Dee
