Wow, so many pop culture references I was totally unaware of 😂

Don't watch EastEnders or Schitts Creek and think I'm too young for Grange Hill and Roland Rat (stealth boast!).

It's a family name which is why I was considering it. I was worried about the Roly poly thing though, to be honest I can see my self saying it, in an affectionate way of course!

Reyland / Ryland are decent alternatives? I used to go out with a Reyland. He was stonking (my use of that word may indicate how long ago that was 😂)

My DS's best friend (13yo) is Roland. Nobody's heard of Roland Rat or ever mentioned it. Nor called him Roly Poly! We're not in a Middle Class area though. There's a few unusual names like Sebastian, Caspian, Don in amongst the Georges, Charlies and Rileys!
Yeah, no kids today will even have heard of Roland Rat or the chubby boy from Grange Hill.

I say if you like it OP, go for it.
