This is seriously cute but maybe more in like a dog name way. I do love an R name though! I think it’s the best letter. What about something similar but not quite Roland?

It's a great name, and Roly is a good diminutive.

Most of the people he meets will never have heard of Grange Hill or Roland Rat.

I love the name Roland.
Make me think of Interpol- one of the most awesome bands in the world. One of their songs is called Roland.
I also grew up with a friend name Roland.
It's a good, properly old Germanic name.
