Esther Maria is a beautiful name imho

canyoubelievethat · 29/03/2022 14:29

Lydia and Maria are my favourite. Faith would be a lovely middle name.

legalseagull · 29/03/2022 14:25

I think Eve will make a come back with Killing Eve etc

Midnightstar76 · 29/03/2022 14:24

Faith as that’s my middle name

Dejavuvuzella · 29/03/2022 14:24

Grace

I like Lydia and Maria the most. I like Esther but not with the nn Tess, which feels very forced. The Esters I know are always called Esther.

EdgeOfACoin · 29/03/2022 14:12

Esther is a nice name and she was incredibly brave in the Bible.

Abigail, Anna, Athalia, Berenice, Deborah, Elizabeth, Eve, Hannah, Jael, Junia, Keziah, Leah, Lydia, Martha, Rachel, Rebecca, Sarah, Suzanna, Tamar,Tabitha:

Already have a Tabitha and Susannah. Like Tamar, but there are two in the bible - one was raped, the other tricked her father in law into sleeping with her and getting her pregnant. So not the most cheerful namesakes. Yael is cool in the bible and I want to love the name but just don't. I liked Junia until I realized everyone would think she was called Junior 😢 Ataliah is a lovely name but she was evil! Almost a Jezebel of a name. Didn't Berenice have an incestuous relationship with her brother? I wish I liked the names Deborah and also Judith as they too were amazing in the bible. I feel Eve's name shouldn't be as popular as it is given the whole forbidden apple incident 😂 I like Elizabeth nn Eliza and Keziah. The others are the names of most of my school friends growing up so feel a little dated

I wanted to call DD1 Yael, but DH vetoed it.

Abigail, Anna, Athalia, Berenice, Deborah, Elizabeth, Eve, Hannah, Jael, Junia, Keziah, Leah, Lydia, Martha, Rachel, Rebecca, Sarah, Suzanna, Tamar,Tabitha.

I've always liked the idea of a Jael as she was such a strong character but probably best as a middle name.

Pandypuff · 29/03/2022 13:20

I am missing Ruth and Leah but I don't like them much Grin I do like Naomi but I worry it's got a 'mean girl' vibe (based on Naomi's I've known and not on the lovely biblical Naomi of course!).

How about Ophira?

I like all of them apart from Miriam which feels too old fashioned. I knew a Miriam who had the nickname Mim, I didn’t like the nickname either.

MeanMrMustardSeed · 29/03/2022 13:10

Esther but absolutely not with that nickname! It’s feisty and well known but not too popular. Love it.

TeenPlusCat · 29/03/2022 13:08

Missing Ruth & Leah?

Mary works well with a lot of them (not the M names).

I like Esther and Phoebe best.
