Logan and River

What do you think of Logan/Log as name for brother of River. Log and River so it's nature based but doesn't have to stay Log so will use Logan on BC and he can have Logan as adult if he wants?

I like Logan. Not log. When you say to keep the nature theme, I’m presuming you mean log to rhyme with fog rather than vogue? The latter is passable as it’s just like calling someone Laur instead of Laura. Log is just daft and will invite rude jokes as PPs have alluded to.

Personal taste but I’m not keen on ‘themes’ for siblings such as Alice, Annie and Abigail (all A names) or Poppy, Lily and Daisy (all flowers). It just makes nice names sound naff.

Logan is not pronounced 'Loggan' - it's Loh-gan.
And it means 'little hollow'.
It has nothing to do with logs.

I used to like the name River but it’s been used quite a lot and has become a bit chav, similar with Logan, I prefer Morgan (for a girl).

Do not call a child log. That is beyond cruel. Log is a noun not a name. And it’s a noun which means poo.

Logan is too close to the word Lagan - the River Lagan is in Northern Ireland - reminds me of Ted in Line of Duty: 'Do you think I came up the Lagan in a bubble?'

Hmmm I don't get Log as a shortened version of Logan if it's pronounced like a log... a piece of wood. Surely it would be pronounced Low-g? Also makes me think of a jobby Confused Sorry
