Our 4th baby girl is due in the summer.

Madeline
Matilda
Primrose

All 3 go lovely with our other dd's names
Primrose I think is beautiful but is it too out there.. which do you prefer and why.

I like Madeline and Matilda. I really dislike Primrose, I'd hate that to be my name. It's prissy.

beans1992 · 26/03/2022 14:43

Primrose is lovely! And Prim is a great shortening I think. Reminds me of the girl from Hunger Games.

I think people always react to anything a little different but actually it’s a straightforward name to spell and say. Matilda is quite bland to me. Madeline is ok, but would definitely be Maddie so you have to be ok with that I think.

mintich · 26/03/2022 13:23

Primrose

DramaAlpaca · 26/03/2022 13:19

Matilda or Madeline.

Definitely not Primrose, that 'prim' bit is horrible.

octoberfarm · 26/03/2022 13:18

Madeline is beautiful. Absolutely love it!

Favourodds · 26/03/2022 12:55

The estate agent I bought my house from was an extremely beautiful and very sweet Prim. I really liked it.

ISmellBurnings · 26/03/2022 12:53

Madeleine.

Matilda is too popular and I’m not a fan anyway. Don’t like Primrose.

LBFseBrom · 26/03/2022 12:36

Madeline. One of my best friends at school was called, 'Madeline' - Maddy. I think it's a lovely name and quite classic.

Gigi97 · 26/03/2022 12:29

I prefer primrose

Adventing · 26/03/2022 12:17

Matilda Primrose is a great combination

Poppypip1 · 26/03/2022 11:36

Matilda is my favourite out of those 3 😊

KylieCharlene · 26/03/2022 11:35

Love Madeline

gingerhills · 26/03/2022 11:35

I like Matilda and Madeline equally.

Can't stand Primrose. Just makes me think of Harold Shipman's wife.

SirVixofVixHall · 26/03/2022 11:33

Matilda. I only know one and she is 26. I like the pet names and the full name, it just sounds nice in all permutations!

StrychnineInTheSandwiches · 26/03/2022 11:30

I'd probably go for Madeline. Anything but Primrose to be honest. That's
a bloody awful name.

custardbear · 26/03/2022 11:06

Nn (not no)

custardbear · 26/03/2022 11:06

Primrose no Prim like Hunger Games

Pemba · 26/03/2022 10:52

Madeline, it's just really beautiful.

Matilda is fine. Primrose I don't really like, it is a bit twee and prissy as pps said. I do like most 'rose' names, but I think it's the 'prim' bit of Primrose that spoils it.

22Newnames · 26/03/2022 10:50

No help but usually I click on these and hate them all but all 3 of your names are nice. Any would be lovely Smile

Hadtocomment · 26/03/2022 10:46

I like Madeline best. I also like all the Adeline and Adelaide type names. I think primrose could be cool at some ages but might be tricky at different ages. Prim isn't the best shortening and Rosie feels like a different name to me. Matilda I knew a really horrid one so that's not helpful as just subjective.

ofwarren · 26/03/2022 10:34

I love them all! Primrose is my favourite though.
You could use one of the other names as a middle name? Either would sound nice.
Great choices OP.

Pointlesspolice · 26/03/2022 10:32

Madeline…gorgeous name.

axolotlfloof · 26/03/2022 10:30

Primrose, although I quite like Matilda.

Honey2 · 26/03/2022 10:19

Primrose and Madeline, both beautiful and classy and not too overused. I’m not a fan of Matilda

Itsnottheendoftheworldisit · 26/03/2022 10:17

Primrose is beautiful
