@PierresPotato I've always loved Taliesin, love most Welsh names.

I know a Taliesin but he is known as Tali. It's nice.

Æthelwulf
Wulfric
Wolfgang

Not sure why I had a wolf obsession when I was pregnant. Dh obviously vetoed them all.

Last pregnancy I had my heart set on Wolfe for a boy. Thank goodness it was a girl.

Perhaps it’s the hormones but I’m nodding vigorously at this thread and taking notes for poor DC2.

I like Buddy and Blake, even better if they were twins. I don't know why, they're nothing like any names I actually chose and I don't think I'd actually have used them had I had boys. They sound kind of chavvy to me. 🤷🏻‍♀️

My dh wanted Wilson. I agreed as I just knew I was having a girl lol. Just reminds me of the dog in "Friday night dinner"

One of the PPs mentioned winter which is my daughters middle name. If it had turned out to be a boy I would have pushed for it as a first name to avoid the dreaded Wilson. It's a family surname on dh side so prob would have got my way! I could have used it for my girls first name but we had something else that went with my other girls better.

Starbeach · 03/04/2022 16:18

Walter 100% love the name but I'm having a girl and it's one old name I wish would come back into fashion

PierresPotato · 03/04/2022 14:47

I also love Taliesin.

For girls: Ocean, Storm, Skye, Winter… nature type names I love but not brave enough and my DH would never agree! And some of the Greek names, Hera, Aphrodite etc, love them but they’re not usable for me!

For boys: Atticus and Atlas I love but we could never pull off and again, DH would just laugh!
