Following on from my other thread I've amended my name choices.
I'd appreciate help/advice on which is nicest.
Middle name would be Jean (named for my nana I can't compromise on this).
I'm half Korean so have picked some Korean names too this time as well. I could add the Korean name as another middle name after my nanas though:
Bae
Chin-Sun
Minji
Moon
So-Ok
Sailor
Ember
Cherry
Magnolia
Bronte
Sage
Venus
Yes I've ditched Apricot & taken on board some of the advice you ladies have given me I appreciate it x

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Chin-sun , Moon or Ember ( I see Ember as with the potential to burst into flame or provide warmth )

Susu49 · 11/03/2022 16:28

@ValkyrieVik

PLEASE DONT NAME YOUR BABY MINJI!!

Apricot Jean come back - all is forgiven!! 😂 😂 😂

🤣

Apricot Jean has grown on me!

I like Chin Sun, Cherry or Ember

OperationDog · 11/03/2022 16:27

Azalia. Look no further. Lovely.

Greentomatoes21 · 11/03/2022 16:24

Azalea! Lovely!!

magicstars · 11/03/2022 16:23

Cherry jean.
Jeanie moon.

BlackishTulips · 11/03/2022 16:23

MinJi Jean doesn’t flow, however you pronounce it ( and people will not pronounce it correctly)

BrutusMcDogface · 11/03/2022 16:22

Please take on board what everyone has said about Minji/ mingey, though.

BrutusMcDogface · 11/03/2022 16:21

Azalea is beautiful!

WouldIwasShookspeared · 11/03/2022 16:21

Sage, Chin-Sun, Brontë and Ember are my favourites.

Prescottdanni123 · 11/03/2022 16:20

Meen-jee as a pronunciation is nice but with Jean it would be Meen-jee jean. Too many ee sounds maybe?

Plus, every school teacher will see that name on the register and pronounce it minge-ee. Which will lead to teasing from class mates even after said teacher has been corrected.

Snowbell99 · 11/03/2022 16:19

Sakura is actually nice (it means cherry blossom) but it's Japanese as far as I know, not Korean.

Azalea is cute too.

TheSunWillComeOut2moro · 11/03/2022 16:19

Just name her Charlotte or Isabelle, no child wants to be called Moon Shine Minge.

becarefuloutthere · 11/03/2022 16:19

Go with Cherry Jean, it sounds really nice 😊

CyranoCyrano · 11/03/2022 16:19

I’m afraid I hated all the names on your last list and same with all your names on this list @Spaghetti0h

But I think a previous poster has nailed it with Azalea

Nice nod to your Korean heritage without being overt given it’s only a quarter of your child’s heritage and Azalea Jean is really nice and pretty. Also ticks the box you wanted of being unusual.

Spaghetti0h · 11/03/2022 16:17

@Snowbell99

I don't mind Moon as a middle name but as a first name it isn't great. I think of mooning someone (showing them your butt as a prank).

By the way I can't stop laughing about Apricot Jean, I'm sorry! But the more I think about it the more I imagine an old lady named Jean selling apricots at the farmer's market and this sort of becoming her nickname. She'd stand next to Potato Joe and Cheese Barbara.

🤣🤣

Spaghetti0h · 11/03/2022 16:16

@Hohofortherobbers

Can I toss in Sorrell and Luna? Suki is nice but I'm struggling with your other choices
It's not Suki its So-Ok (Sook) I do like Luna but it's pretty popular I know two x

Minji?! The word minge which sounds the same in the UK is a very unpleasant term for vagina so please don't call your child that!!!

CaMePlaitPas · 11/03/2022 16:15

Sage is lovely! I might use it myself.

Nopetryagain · 11/03/2022 16:15

What about Siouxsie, pronounced Suzy but seems to be a bit edgier which is what you seem to be going for

Bergamotte · 11/03/2022 16:13

@MerryMarigold

As one of the most beautiful Korean spring flowers, azaleas have a faithful purple color.

Azalea is even cooler than Magnolia. I love names with a z in.

Oh yes! Azalea is a beautiful word and the flowers are lovely, with a really special scent. And it works as a name (unlike certain fruits).

Azalea Jean Surname

Very nice!

Snowbell99 · 11/03/2022 16:13

DandyLyon · 11/03/2022 16:13

Cherry is very sweet

Soubriquet · 11/03/2022 16:12

What about Sukura?

Spaghetti0h · 11/03/2022 16:12

I love Story someone messaged me it means something very sexual to certain men, it's a slang term I'd no idea.
