Sybil & Imogen are the only ones that stand out to me & they're not overused too.
Dora would get called Dora the Explorer I think.

Enough4me · 10/03/2022 17:08

I love Lois and Tess. Others are ok.

BadHairDayExpert · 10/03/2022 17:05

@Snowbell99

Hello!

Sybil - I really love it, it should make a comeback. It's so cool and mysterious. But I would spell it Sibyl, like the word. Sybil is fine too, though.
Imogen - feels sort of tired and a tiny bit dated. I know it's Shakespearean but I met a few born in the 90s and 00s and even though it wasn't extremely common I associate it with women in their 20s. I also don't like the sound. It doesn't sound very pretty to me and I dislike Immy as a nickname (I know an Imogen "Immy"). It also makes me think of "image" and "innocent".
Merryn - it sounds sort of harsh and old to me, sorry. Like an old witch or elderly woman.
Ramona - I never really liked the sound. I prefer just Mona even though depending on your accent it may not sound nice. I prefer Romy, Mona or similar names.
Sabrina - I like it. It's cool and witchy. But it is 80s dated where I live and many people associate it with mean girls here for some reason (I have asked about it on boards). Sabina is nice!
Lois - I don't get the appeal of this as it sounds incredibly ugly to me (sorry!). I like older names but this one doesn't appeal.
Sienna - I love this but I prefer it as Siena (like the city in Italy). Sienna makes me think a bit of Sienna Miller and I am not a fan.
Tess - too harsh.
Dora - sort of cute. Dora the Explorer.

I forgot the suggestions:

Annabel
Maia
Eleanor
Morrigan
Iona
Sabina
Mona
Romy
Elaine
Evelyn
Ophelia
Juliet
Nerissa
Kaia
Cora
Luana
Sally or Sallie
Serena
Gaia
