Help needed in choosing between 2 girls names

Hi I am fond of classic traditional names and what was a long list has now been whittled down to two names, Alice and Grace. Out of these two names which would you choose? No negative comments please as I've really struggled with girls names so its looking like it will be either of these that I go with (I'm always open to suggestions if there are other names similar to these that you think I may like. Thank you x

Love both.
I'd probably go for Alice Grace and have both

pzombie · 15/03/2022 23:26

Alice.

DogsAndGin · 15/03/2022 21:59

Alice is very pretty but also makes me think of the independent, curious, clever Alice in Wonderland.

Grace I don’t associate with much positive.

maybein2022 · 09/03/2022 19:33

Both are lovely. I’d go with Alice.

SuperSocks · 09/03/2022 19:32

I like them both but Grace is far more common, so I would go for Alice!

MiniMoouse · 09/03/2022 16:23

I love both names, beautiful choices. For me Alice is my favourite.

KylieCharlene · 09/03/2022 16:22

Love both so think I'd use both and go for Alice Grace.
If this isn't an option then I'd go with Grace.

Pegasussnail · 09/03/2022 16:21

Both are beautiful. I think Grace is more popular if that helps.
Alice night be more likely to be shortened to Ali (only my experience)

MangoLipstick · 09/03/2022 16:18

Both lovely names op, but Alice gets my vote.

Ruinedwalks · 09/03/2022 16:17

Alice

drpet49 · 09/03/2022 16:15

Alice

GlitteryGreen · 09/03/2022 16:13

I really like them both, but do agree with others that Grace conjures up an image which may not necessarily fit the child as she grows.

Paddingtonsmarmlade · 09/03/2022 16:11

I prefer Alice. Alice Elizabeth sounds lovely.

brokengoalposts · 09/03/2022 16:10

Grace, I've never liked Alice, it's just so blah.

DoucheCanoe · 09/03/2022 16:05

Alice Elizabeth.

I really dislike Grace - my niece gets called Graceless by some because she's a clumsy little muck magnet Hmm

LaLaLouella · 09/03/2022 16:03

Alice is lovely!

Grace is also a nice name but I'm not sure how well it works if you have a child who isn't graceful! I also think it has strong religious undertones too, I guess it depends wether that bothers you or not!

resm · 09/03/2022 15:58

Another vote for Grace, one of my favourite girls names.

katielou987 · 09/03/2022 14:23

Thanks to everyone who's replied so far it's really helping xx

Alice because I don’t hear it half as much as Grace which is always hyphenated on to a first name so makes it overused.

Hikoridikori · 09/03/2022 12:46

Alice.

Alice is more feminine, Grace is a bit hard sounding.

SirSamVimesCityWatch · 09/03/2022 12:14

Alice Elizabeth is the winner for me!

But all lovely names OP.

FayCarew · 09/03/2022 12:12

Alice is much nicer than Grace

AnnaSW1 · 08/03/2022 23:55

I love Grace. I'm not keen on Alice

Luredbyapomegranate · 08/03/2022 23:19

Both fine, Grace maybe a bit less common as a first name than Alice (check), otherwise I’d go with whatever goes best with your surname.

Frances, Esther, Lois, Edith, Beatrice, Louise, Katharine, Constance, Mary, Emma, Jane, Hope, Hannah would all be less common alternatives

TangerineClay · 08/03/2022 22:41

I like Alice
