Thoughts on Jo as a middle name?

We are about to have our daughter any time now, and her name is going to be Daisy.

We love her first name, but we’re still deliberating over whether we love her middle name - we have chosen Jo because we feel it kind of balances out the more feminine ‘Daisy’ quite well, and also because we’re both big literature buffs and her name is inspired by the characters Daisy from Daisy Miller and Jo from little women, but what are your opinions on the name Daisy Jo? My worry is that it possibly sounds a bit like a deep southern cowgirl… but I also kind of love it.

Our last name is two syllables btw, sorry can’t give much more info than that! Any opinions are welcome!

Wouldn't touch Josephine with a barge pole but I've known three and they all hated the name. They shortened it to jo or josie.

I quite like Daisy Jo but I do see your point with the Southern thing. That's not necessarily a bad thing maybe?

I did think cowgirl. Wasn't Jo's full name Josephine?

Daisy Josephine is nicer but it's ok

I don’t necessarily dislike the name but was reading it in my head with the southern cow girl accent. I think she’ll get a lot of that I’m afraid.
