Phoebe or Cosima

My husband and I had complete agreement for our first daughter, we picked her name before she was conceived and didn’t change the entire way through.

This time…it’s a bit different. I like Cosima, for sentimental reasons and a link with my first daughter’s name. My husband prefers Phoebe. We’ve narrowed it down to those two.

They both have their drawbacks (one people don’t always know how to pronounce, the other people don’t always know how to spell). But they’re both beautiful.

If you had to pick one of them, which would it be?

(P.S. I also like Zelda, but first daughter has a Z name. Would that be a bit much?)

Thanks all!

I prefer Cosima. Phoebe just makes me think “feeble”

Cosima

I like Phoebe. It's not so unusual that no-one knows how to spell it, and it's elegant.
Cosima is a bit too unusual for my liking and I wouldn't be sure how to spell it even if I'd heard it. For instance, is it Coss-eema, or Cos -ima, with a short 'a?' And is the accent on the first or second syllable?

Phoebe is lovely.

Cosima is too fussy for me & Zelda is a warrior isn't she?

If you have a Zoe a Zelda is a bit much. I prefer Phoebe but really hate pheeeeebs

I prefer Phoebe.

Cosima is more unusual, but to me it's very belonging to a certain social group and that would put me off.

Zelda is too Sabrina the Teenage witch for me!
