DD2 due imminently (planned c section) and DH and I still cannot agree on any name. Sister for Freya, Middle name is set, so don't need suggestions for that. Both middle and surnames have two syllables and are consonants. List seems to be:

Emily - not keen on meaning
Chloe - like meaning but not keen on name
Liberty - DH very on fence
Juniper - concerned a bit trendy/doesn't have longevity
Felicity - like name but a bit frilly compared to rest of family (me, DH and DD1 and same initial as DD1)

Any preferences?

Open to alternate suggestions as well :)

I like Emily and think it has a good meaning, maybe that is down in interpretation.
I really like Felicity, and Chloe is nice too.

Liberty, not really for me.
Juniper, I would assume you are a big fan of Gin. Tbf it's quite a popular thing to drink these days.

Good luck new arrival :)

Felicity
Or Chloe if you don’t like the double f

Emily is nice but way overused
Liberty is a bit faddy but ok
Juniper - I think this is faddy and really daft - Freya is beautiful, I’d be really pissed to be DD2 and landed with Juniper

Others
Juno, Stella, Lois, Lucy, Thora, Jocelyn, Ivy, Iris, Edith, Clara, Lara, Verity, Cecily, Philippa nn Pippa, Serena, Cleo, Evelyn, Jasmine, Rowan, Anna, Hannah, Rosanna, Esther, Beatrice nn Bea, Caitlin

Emily - very boring and overused, basically a vanilla name
Chloe - it’s a pretty name but also super popular, and I think you should only choose a name if you like the actual name, not just the meaning but that’s just my opinion.
Liberty - I don’t like it, it sounds pretty dated and it just makes me think of a horse, idk if that’s just me
Juniper - It’s a really nice name, probably my favourite from your list. It seems a little trendy, probably almost on the same level as Luna, but I only know one Juniper and she’s 16 so you’re unlikely to meet another
Felicity - it’s also a very pretty name, I like it. Just be aware that this name has entered the top 100 (I think) if you are concerned about that.

bangaverage · 06/03/2022 12:47

I know a Freya whose sister is Anna. Chloe probably goes best from your list. Liberty is great but not if DP isn't keen. Juniper is awful. Emily is the white sliced bread of names, bland and ubiquitous.

You don't seem keen on any of them so maybe none?

Theoldcuriosityshop · 06/03/2022 11:47

What about Juno. Goddess of love and marriage.

Piggy666 · 06/03/2022 11:24

Florrie
Millie
Maisie

I have an Emily, always loved the name

Lemonweightloss · 06/03/2022 11:22

Seren

Lemonweightloss · 06/03/2022 11:21

Sorry just read.....Marfa a no go !

Lemonweightloss · 06/03/2022 11:20

I like Emily. Goes nice with Freya. Chloe is a bit dated. Lovely sounding name though. I do like Felicity but not the alliteration aspect. Verity ? I agree with pps about Juniper ; love Juno. Martha? My granddaughter was Freya til the 11th hour. Changed to Esme. Do you like that ?
Kitty
Nancy
Esther
Mariam is due a comeback.

NuffSaidSam · 06/03/2022 11:00

I like Emily best.

I don't think the meanings of names matter at all.

NotMyDayJob · 06/03/2022 10:59

@Elspethelf

From your list my favorite is Felicity. I think these names pair nicely with Freya;

Xanthe
Hero
Isolde
Thea
Thora
Maeve
Astrid
Dahlia
Liv
Helene
Alma
Ida
Sylvie

Unfortunately DH has already discounted many of these names (I once knew someone I didn't like who had an Astrid, that sort of thing). The 'Th' names are out because I'm from east London so they wouldn't be pronounced right 🤣

Chloe and Emily seem so boring and overused to me. Juniper is cool but I prefer Juno, it just seems a bit more wearable in real life. Felicity is lovely but would you mind having daughters with the same initial?
I’m not keen on Liberty, it seems a very different style to Freya. @Elspethelf has some nice suggestions above. Maybe Eliza, Iris, Zoë, Serena?

Crunchymum · 06/03/2022 10:38

Freya and Emily
Freya and Chloe

They both have a nice ring to them?

I know a few Freya's of varying ages and their sisters are:

Freya and Isla
Freya and Alice
Freya and Martha
Freya and Elodie

Lollipoppit · 06/03/2022 10:29

Freya and Amelie
Freya and Ivy
I know a Freya and Ceris?

RavenclawsRoar · 06/03/2022 10:28

I love the name Liberty, although if your dh doesn't then that pretty much rules it out. I really like Chloe and Juniper from the rest.

17caterpillars1mouse · 06/03/2022 10:17

Emily (from someone whose names mean Bitter, meanings really don't matter) or Felicity. Either you or DH don't sound overly keen / sold on the others so scrap them off the list

Lemonlemon88 · 06/03/2022 10:16

Freya and Chloe sound the nicest together.

Elspethelf · 06/03/2022 10:11

From your list my favorite is Felicity. I think these names pair nicely with Freya;

Xanthe
Hero
Isolde
Thea
Thora
Maeve
Astrid
Dahlia
Liv
Helene
Alma
Ida
Sylvie

Datsandcogs · 06/03/2022 10:07

Emily for me, a really lovely name and fits well with Freya.
