Hallie Sophia or Cora Alice?

I think Hallie and Cora are both pretty. Don't understand the"chavvy" comment re Hallie though. I've never come across any in real life, so I find it quite unusual.

I also don't think Cora is "maiden aunt" either.

Personally I don't particularly like Alice, I find it a little harsh sounding (and old fashioned, although I know it's quite popular).

Sophia is also lovely. Hallie Sophia would have my vote out of the 2.

KylieCharlene · 10/03/2022 11:10

I don't like Cora and Alice together. To me, they have a very different vibe.
I love Alice though and would go with Alice Sophia.

Liv999 · 10/03/2022 11:07

Hallie Sophia is very pretty
@Luredbyapomegranate You picked that name but haven’t read the book? It starts with a girl opening a door she never saw before and finding a grove of pomegranates (and another world). I thought for sure you would know what I was talking about lol
No but it’s from the Greek myth of Persephone being lured down to the underworld with Pomegranate seeds by the god Hades - which must be what inspired the author of this series

SweetPotatoDumpling · 09/03/2022 07:14

I love them all, in any combination, so whichever you choose will be beautiful!

I'd go for Hallie Sophia, personally, as the combination/syllables just work well together.

Love Cora and Alice equally too.

You have great taste OP 💗
@luredbyapomegranate I just stared reading the Wayward Children series and love your name.

I understand the comments are for Hallie as a name but also when you are introduced to someone you won’t know if it’s a name or nickname. In saying that, this is a name forum so we are asking for judgement. I don’t think people are judging children on their names in real life :)
Ooh I will have to try that series..

SnottyLottie · 06/03/2022 16:24

Cora Alice

This is actually one of my combos 😍

Hallie Sophia is lovely but Hallie isn’t really my style and Sophia is very popular

Cora Alice is very sweet and classic without being boring. Plus it reminds me of The Last of the Mohicans.

DogsAndGin · 06/03/2022 16:01

Alice and Sophie are nice

Cora

Luredbyapomegranate · 06/03/2022 15:02

@Elspethelf

Yikes, these comments! My DD is Hali, short for Halima. I think Hallie Sophia sounds lovely. I personally don’t like it when a first name ends in A and a second name starts with A because it’s a bit of a mouthful. I do like Cora Sophia.
@Elspethelf

It’s just Hallie as a full name people are referring to. It’s a sweet nn for either Harriet or Halima, but it is a nn.

Luredbyapomegranate · 06/03/2022 15:00

.. as in Harriet Sophia nn Hallie

Luredbyapomegranate · 06/03/2022 15:00

Cora Alice

Hallie is very faddy, but if you give her the full form Harriet, then she has options. Harriet Sophia works fine.

Fleur405 · 06/03/2022 12:18

I’d go for Hallie!

intheblightgarden · 06/03/2022 11:59

Cora Alice

helpmum2003 · 06/03/2022 10:42

Cora Alice

My favourite would be Alice Sophia.

Fivebeanchilli · 06/03/2022 10:39

I would go for Cora Sophia. I'm not keen on Hallie but Cora Alice flows oddly.

Cora Sophia!

groovergirl · 05/03/2022 22:16

Hallie looks like it is short for something. Maybe spell it Halley like the comet or use it as a nn for Harriet or Halliday.

Harriet Alice and Cora Sophia would be good combinations.

Kitkat151 · 05/03/2022 21:53

Hallie is a bit chavvy.....Do not like Cora at all
Alice and Sophia are ok though

Shoutymomma · 05/03/2022 21:42

Cora Sophie. The closing A clashes with the opening A of Alice.

PukkaP · 05/03/2022 21:37

Cora Alice is clunky. The last syllable of the first name of the first syllable of the second just don’t flow

user1493494961 · 05/03/2022 21:23

Alice Sophia would be lovely. Cora's OK but dislike Hallie, I always think it's a bit down market.
