Hey, just curious if we have any baby name envy members on these baby name threads

if so what do you think of SJ and naomi?!

i personally really enjoy the podcast and youtube

To be fair she calls herself a baby name consultant in a very tongue in cheek manner.
She refers to herself as baby name enthusiast and then says she’s made a title up for herself and is now calling herself a baby name consultant, to which her sister laughs at.

Immediately knew what you were talking about OP, I don’t understand why people were so outraged you were asking about a baby name podcast on a baby name forum (a podcast which is very successful too)

What it has done is highlight what a bunch of utter bitches use this site purely to belittle, undermine and mock people who don’t enjoy the same Joules and Hunter wellies shit they do. Used this site for years (as I have an interest in baby names-shock horror!) but I’m deactivating my account today.

Sorry OP that you were attacked and mocked by such a sad bunch. The BNE community are much nicer, stick to hanging out there✌🏻

Can you point to multiple posts expressing actual outrage?

I’ve seen a few of her videos and she has some good ideas, but I’m not sure where she does her research as she gets a lot of the name meanings wrong which is a bit irritating.

I immediately knew what you were talking about, why are people so awful here! No need for that in this current state of the world. I really enjoy the yt videos and the instagram account where the community helps you with baby name dilemmas - not different to mn!

I do think some of the suggestions are too out there, but SJ is always so sweet about them.

I absolutely love SJ and Naomi and their podcast. I am rooting for Naomi through her cancer treatment and am devastated for her.

I think they bring happiness, fun and positivity to baby naming and I love listening in.

I watch baby name Monday on YT, haven’t heard the podcast though. SJ recently did videos where she took a ‘safe’ name then suggested bold and daring alternatives. I thought it might be a fun game for Mumsnet. For example, if Violet is the safe name, Zinnia might be a bold alternative or Valli if you want to be daring. If Delilah is safe, Deidre could be bold, Delphi could be daring. I think some of her videos are fun!
