Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Ohyesiam · 02/03/2022 23:08

Please don’t do that to a child. You won’t” own “ them , they will be a person in their own right.

jackstini · 02/03/2022 23:06

AJ is not a name - it's initials or a nickname

If you want to pronounce it ay-jay then it is spelled Ajay

feliciabirthgiver · 02/03/2022 22:59

@Beachsidesunset what makes you say this, I know a JB (which also isn't a name much like AJ) but this was allowed by the registrars?

buddylicious · 02/03/2022 22:53

Sorry to throw this in the mix but a friend spells their name "Ajay".

Hercisback · 02/03/2022 22:52

Ajay or a different actual name.

lonelyexpat · 02/03/2022 22:51

AJ is the name of our dog.

Luredbyapomegranate · 02/03/2022 22:50

Please don’t register your child as AJ, like a low rent Elon Musk.

tearinghairout · 02/03/2022 22:47

AJ may be cute (no full stops!) but please register the poor child with a proper name.

SD1978 · 02/03/2022 22:45

Ajay if you insist on giving him this name- your options are all ridiculous as they are initials not a name.

tearinghairout · 02/03/2022 22:45

@WhatNoReally

4. Think of a name.

And whilst we're on spelling, it's 'you' not 'u'.

Yep. This.
GoogleWhacked · 02/03/2022 22:43

AayJay

LadyCatStark · 02/03/2022 22:43

Aiee-Jeigh?

I’m pretty sure you can use letters as I used to know of a child called KC-Marie but I guess that could have just been the spelling her parents (and school) used informally. I wouldn’t recommend it though.

BrassyLocks · 02/03/2022 22:42

Ajay is an actual name so I'd go for that. Just AJ could end up being pronounced 'adge' Confused

TenoringBehind · 02/03/2022 22:41
  1. A proper name instead
ditalini · 02/03/2022 22:38

To be fair, I love the official baby name lists that come out every year and there's always one or two AJs or PJs or TJs so I doubt there'll be a problem with the registrar.

There's a lot worse but I imagine it'll be such a pita going through life saying "no, just AJ. No it doesn't stand for anything, just AJ. Capital A. Capital J."

Viviennemary · 02/03/2022 22:37

Its not a name. Back to the drawing board.

OverByYer · 02/03/2022 22:35

Asifimus Jizzimus

Grin
BloodyBaffled · 02/03/2022 22:33

Don't be daft!

Fleur405 · 02/03/2022 22:31

I tend to agree with others that AJ is not really a proper name but I appreciate that’s not actually what you asked! Of your proposed spelling I’d go with AJ. Pretty sure you can register any of your proposed spellings but maybe it worthwhile checking with the registrar first.

ditalini · 02/03/2022 22:30

Ajay or two names with the initials A and J.

BlackCoffeeInAPoolOfSunshine · 02/03/2022 22:29

Ajay is a Hindu (Indian) name meaning invincible.
AJ is someone's initials.

CommonPrimrose · 02/03/2022 22:28

Definitely Ajay.

Kanaloa · 02/03/2022 22:28

I would use A.J because when I’ve seen initials they’re written like that. Some nice names I think lend themselves to the nickname of A.J are

Aaron, Aidan, Arlo, Alex. Maybe middle names James, Jude, Jackson, Jace, Jason. Nickname initials are cute and fun but I’d pick an actual name for his name.

fluffythedragonslayer · 02/03/2022 22:27

Ajay
