Sounds like an anti-Semite thug. "He's a Jew nipper, is our Reggie. Can't stand 'em."

CaptainMyCaptain · 28/02/2022 19:56

@halfsiesonapotnoodle

I do like it but the 'nipper' noise at the end does put me off!
I quite like it but the obvious nickname would be Nipper.

@Ilovedthe70s

I now have this Donovan ear-worm

Jennifer Juniper lives upon the hill
Jennifer Juniper, sitting very still
Is she sleeping? I don't think so
Is she breathing? Yes, very low

That brings back lovely memories! My Dad used to play that song to me when I was little, and he made me believe it was written especially for me. I'm a Jennifer, not a Juniper.
Luredbyapomegranate · 27/02/2022 19:40

God no, it’s up there with Peaches Honeyblossom and other stupid celeb kid names. It’ll be cute until she’s 7 and then ridiculous.

June, Juno, Jemima - all good

VelvetKitty · 27/02/2022 19:05

I think it's lovely! The nicknames Juno and Juni are really cute too.

anormalperson · 27/02/2022 18:27

Love it

Somuddled · 27/02/2022 18:24

I've adored it for 5 years. To me it sounds sensible and grown up bit still allows for sweet nick names when younger.

babynamelover · 27/02/2022 18:23

I prefer June 🙂

Kerzel · 27/02/2022 18:21

I love it 🥰

PukkaP · 27/02/2022 18:19

Not keen but it's not awful

user1493494961 · 27/02/2022 18:14

Gin.

I thought of that song too!

OP - go for it. Great name and a great song.

Nelliephant1 · 27/02/2022 18:06

I'm sure that's a name in a song. Maybe Beautiful South....?

It's nice but maybe a bit out there.

Open the door and shout "juniper time for tea" and see how it sounds. Imagine a teacher saying it in class or another child in the playground or whatever and see if you still think it's a possibility.

Soubriquet · 27/02/2022 17:59

Love it

squirrelnutkins1 · 27/02/2022 17:58

LOVE!

wanttobeehappy · 27/02/2022 17:58

Too try hard for me I think, also heard of a few young junipers recently so may be a bit of a fad name that could date

DeliaOwens · 27/02/2022 17:57

My first thought is Gin.

Kitkat151 · 27/02/2022 17:56

It’s a trying too hard name IMO ....I know 1 ....she’s 2 ....she’s called Juno for short

Kanaloa · 27/02/2022 17:55

I love June, I think it’s a beautiful and underused name. I’m not a fan of Juniper to be honest, I don’t think it has the plain, fresh, simple sound that June has.

whiteworldgettingwhiter · 27/02/2022 17:52

It's lovely. Nn Juno.

worriedmum2022 · 27/02/2022 17:52

It's a no from me is her middle
Name going to be Berry

These "on-trend" names are all very well
But think about the baby becoming an adult

yoyobaby · 27/02/2022 17:51

I opened this thinking it was some sort of joke😂 clearly not

DramaAlpaca · 27/02/2022 17:49

It's not horrible but it's try hard and will date.

TinaTurtle · 27/02/2022 17:49

@SummaLuvin

I'm not fond of it. I'd secretly wonder if the mum or dad really loved gin...
I can't get this connotation out of my head now! The possible nicknames are lovely though IMO. E.g. June or Jeanie.
